Basque Tribune Advisory Council Member Juan José Álvarez has been awarded the prestigious Eusko Ikaskuntza-Laboral Kutxa of Humanities, Culture, Arts, and Social Sciences award.

Eusko Ikaskuntza (Basque Studies Society) and the Laboral Kutxa Bank present this award each year which recognizes excellence of personalities currently devoted to the research and science in the areas of Humanities, Culture, Arts, and Social Sciences, promoting cultural development of Vasconia. The board, which awarded the prize unanimously, has described Juan José Álvarez´s curriculum as “impressive”.
