Eguzki Urteaga has been collaborating at Basque Tribune since its inception. In fact, he has already written two interesting articles on the politics of the three Northern Basque provinces. In keeping with our gradual introduction of Advisory Board members, readers now have the opportunity to learn more about our new representative from the Northern Basque Country.
Eguzki Urteaga was born in Biarritz in 1973 and is Professor of Sociology at the University of the Basque Country. He has a PhD and degree in Sociology from Victor Segalen Bordeaux 2 University as well as a degree in History, specializing in Geography, from the University of Pau and Pays de l’Adour. He is the author of 29 books and over 150 articles, particularly in the field of sociology, language policy and immigration policy, focusing primarily on the Basque Country, but also on Europe, Latin America and Canada. He has been a visiting professor at several European universities (Bordeaux, Leuven and Brussels) and is also Collection Director for the publisher Mare et Martin of Paris.
Basque Tribune sincerely thanks Eguzki Urteaga for his collaboration on this project and hopes his articles continue having the positive repercussions they have had so far, and that, as an Advisor, the perceptions he shares with us help the ongoing progress of this new publication.
