It is an honor to announce the incorporation of Professor Francisco Caballero Harriet to the Advisory Council of Basque Tribune.
Born in Zubiri (Navarre) in 1947, he studied Law at the University of Deusto and the University of the Basque Country in San Sebastian, where he moved due to his activities as a professional hand ball player. In 1981 he defended his doctoral thesis on J.J. Rousseau. He is Professor of Philosophy of Law at the University of the Basque Country since 1978, and since 1993 has served as Department Chair.

He was the founder of the International Institute for the Sociology of Law in Oñati and is also author of numerous research projects, conferences and courses that have been published in recognized publications. He is guest Professor at several universities, as well as coordinator of the Latin American Network of Doctorate Programs of the University of the Basque Country. He has received numerous academic distinctions such as an Honorary Doctorate by the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic.
The participation of Professor Caballero will no doubt be a rewarding experience contributing to the aim of Basque Tribune, showing the world the past, present and future of the Basque Country.
