Daniel Innerarity joins Basque Tribune.

Since the forming stages of Basque Tribune, Daniel Innerarity agreed to collaborate on this project and now we proudly announce his incorporation to the Basque Tribune Advisory Council with great satisfaction.

Daniel Innerarity (Bilbao, 1959) is Professor of Political and Social Philosophy, Doctor of Philosophy, Researcher at IKERBASQUE at the University of the Basque Country and Director of The Institute for Democratic Governance, Globernance, located in San Sebastian. He has been visiting professor in several European and American universities such as the University of the Sorbonne in Paris or at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies of the European Institute in Florence. He will be joining the European Institute of the London School of Economics soon.

He has authored many books on philosophy, sociology, ethics, governance… many of which have received important awards and international recognition. Many of them have been translated in France, England, Portugal, the United States, Italy and Canada.

He has also received a number of awards in recognition for his career including the prize for Humanities, Arts, Culture and Social Sciences of Eusko Ikaskuntza (Basque Studies Society) in 2008, and the Prince of  Viana Award for Culture in 2013.

He has been member of the Council of Universities, nominated by the Spanish Senate. He belongs to the Academy of Latinity and the European Academy of Arts and Sciences, based in Salzburg.

He is a regular contributor to the editorial columns for various media. The French magazine “Le Nouvel Observateur” included him in 2004 on a list of 25 great thinkers of the world.

Basque Tribune expresses its appreciation for his involvement at Basque Tribune, which, no doubt, will contribute to improve it and honor it.
